Recovery Integration & Relational Coaching

Approach

Sessions

Sessions are an exploration of what you are most wanting for yourself and what is within you and your control that is standing in the way. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, embodied, and mindfulness-based. I don't believe people need to be fixed. My role is to help create enough safety and presence for you to reconnect with your innate capacities. I won't pretend to know what's best for you. Instead, we'll pay attention together to what is happening—in your body, your relationships, your patterns, and what you are longing for. We'll notice more deeply what is already here and support what is emerging. I tend to bring warmth, curiosity, humor, and a willingness to slow down. (Slow is smooth and smooth is fast). If you would like to work together, I would be honored!
My work may be especially helpful if you are:•Living with the effects of developmental trauma or long-standing patterns of disconnection, shame, or self-protection•Navigating relationships and wanting to feel more grounded, authentic, and connected•Doing well on the outside, but wanting more on the inside — more aliveness, embodiment, freedom, intimacy, or depth•Transitioning out of treatment or recovery and wanting support as you return to everyday life•At a turning point and wanting a space to slow down, listen inward, and discover what is true for youSessions are $150 for 50 minutes (needs-based sliding scale available).
Zoom, phone, or FaceTime sessions are available.

About

I'm a coach, counselor-in-training, and lifelong student of what it means to be human. I do this work as a natural expression of who I am. It is also a culmination of more than a decade of recovery and personal exploration, alongside eight years of professional work in mental health. I am fascinated by the patterns that shape how we relate—to ourselves, to other people, to life—and what happens when we begin to meet those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. It is this question, and the work of the neuro-affective relational model* that have been most supportive and beneficial in my own life and journey of recovery. I once heard a respected elder say there are three steps to becoming an effective healer: suffer greatly, survive, and learn to love again. It has not been easy, but I am so glad to qualify : )Outside of this work, I'm usually somewhere between a river, a book, a movie, a dance floor, and some new question I can't stop thinking about. My love of writing and the outdoors sustains me when all else fails...

“Life insists on being both precious and brutal. Beauty keeps appearing inside ugliness. Sublime redemption hides in the shameful. Our job isn’t to file these opposites into separate drawers but to develop the suppleness that lets us be at home in the roar of irreconcilability.”
-Rob Brezny

Testimonials

I first worked with Kelty 4 years ago. His presence and insights really helped me and continue to guide & inform my personal development today. He helped me build a reliable, personal skill set to draw on in daily living. I reached out to him 5 months ago, because I felt stuck and unable to meet some personal and professional goals. Thanks to his gifted perception, years of experience, and deep listening, I’ve since met those goals. I’ve been fortunate to work with many insightful people, but the strides and leaps I make with Kelty are remarkable.
-Kara S.
